A Quiet Capture is new to the Chicago Pop/Rock scene, but they show an undeniable amount of potential in their first batch of songs. I can understand why they named themselves A Quiet Capture. Their songs slowly grab one's attention with gripping guitar hooks and catchy melodies, reminiscent of Paramore's accessibility. If that marketing ability doesn't excite the industry folks, then they're missing something. Look for A Quiet Capture to make a quick and loud bang onto the Chicago music scene once they start to play out. They might not last long in being categorized as solely a "local" band.


Hailing from Chicago, IL, A Quiet Capture was originally formed by Erik Sorensen and Allen Canterbury, two local music veterans. Erika Lauren, a singer/songwriter, who has performed solo and with other local bands later joined the dynamic duo in a twist of fate. A friend introduced Erika to the guys, they started writing and practicing together, and the rest is history.
