All it took for me was to load their MySpace page to realize that these guys are serious. Great pictures, great design, great sound. All aspects, of the band, that are found on their MySpace page add to the whole picture; A band that's out there to prove their point. Makeshift Prodigy's sound is as urgent as their look, pulling futuristic notions into an idea that This is the End, their single that is all encompassing of the song's title. There's a Coldplay side to them, as seen in Sirens with a piano-based ballad with soaring vocals, but for the most part Makeshift Prodigy is an Alt/Rock band comparable to Linkin Park but with more substance. This band is doing something more than most friends who get together to make music are; They're making it known that they have a message. The heartfelt emotion that's put into Makeshift Prodigy by these five guys is contagious and causes you to want to know more, see more, and hear more.
