Back to the list

Chinese Democracy has been in-the-works for more than a decade, and a running joke among most music fans. The troubled project, promised by Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose since the mid-90s, is still finding its way towards completion.

Now, something has surfaced, albeit without the authorization of the band. Several tracks, ahead of completion, were recently posted by antiquiet.com before being ripped down in a cease-and-desist action. The band, alongside label Geffen Records, immediately demanded the removal shortly after the leak surfaced, and the site owner obliged.

That follows a string of earlier leaks of tracks in various stages of production. The stop-and-start album effort has reportedly cost Geffen a whopping $13 million.
