Formed from the ashes of too many bands to mention, Press Gang was founded in 2007 by Damien Christian, Sean Price, and Sarah McVicker, much to the detriment of every band member's desire to be a productive member of society. Though stylistically informed by a youth spent listening to punk and early hardcore, the music they play is much more indebted to the darker side of country music and the inherent swagger of rock and roll. Whether the music grinds along with the throbbing beat of a Sunday morning hangover, or struts its stuff like an over-confident teenager, it always originates from the band's shared experiences, observations and desires.
